was reading feministing today and came across a hip hop blog
with an especially cool post for mlk day

last night i went to the poetry slam at revolution
it was really awesome- and we proceeded to have the chillest drunk night ever
it was so fun
except for the conversation at the end where i bitched about tipping below 20%
oops

my favorite conversation was way awesome though:
it was decided, under our breath, that coldplay really sucks
especially the newest album (can't remember title)
the people we were sitting with would not stop saying how perfect it is
uhhhhhhh
and then- something about mainstream rap came up
they think is sucks
we decided its awesome- because there's something creative about writing rhymes that are so absurd
they were obviously morons if they don't think that 'real big' is awesome

it was a pretty great, really drunk weekend

tomorrow is the 35th anniversary of roe v wade
i'm joining the fb group
